The BoftheBB Spring 2007 Painting ChallengeLast summer we had the Summer 2006 BoftheBB Painting Challenge and we are going to do something similar for 2007. Last years contest had 11 participants and over 1500 minis were painted.

Painted a bunch of 1/72nd Escis for an eventual Plains Indian war battle: 50 US on foot 17 US cav 20 Indian on foot 11 Indians on ponies Also: 8 1/1200-scale ACW Ironclads 1 small DBA camp of a Celtic tomb (to sell on eBay this week) and the display I did for my Spartans on Fanaticus a whopping 107 figs and 279 points!! 2007-04-21 Brother Johnson reports: I finished 6 more 25mm Pathans to enter the great game and 2, 15mm light cav. My new project is double DBA Wallachian armies. Vlad the Impaler! My theory is that it is just as easy to paint 2 armies as one since I find myself spending as much time figuring out what colors to use as actually painting the figures. I got a good start in last night on the infantry. We'll see how long it takes. In order to complicate the scoring I have now thrown 10 mm figs into the mix by finishing 5 Polish Winged Hussars. I painted out on the deck last night. Love that natural light! " 42 points. It includes palm trees, tent, and a couple of camp followers. - 15 points. 2007-02-16 Brother Jeff Barnicus has built and painted some very cool DBA camps. First is a dokana to go with his Spartan army and the second is an acropolis built-up area, featuring a removable Parthenon camp and a sub-temple that can be removed to host a foot soldier element. - earning 40 points.
